Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this program for?
This program is for those who feel like the job they’re in is not quite right.
Maybe it was at one time, but you’ve outgrown it. Or, maybe the job or career field turned out to be much different than you expected. (It’s hard to know for sure until you’re in it!)
Whatever the case, if you are experiencing burnout or disillusionment on your current career path and want to make a switch, this program is for you.
*Important note: A career pivot doesn’t always involve a complete career change.
Sometimes it can look like making a transition or taking on a new role within your current career field, or even your current organization.
However, a career pivot could also involve taking on a similar role in a new industry, or it can look like moving into both a new role and a new industry. It can even involve embarking on an entrepreneurial pursuit.
What’s the difference between coaching and therapy?
While both coaching and therapy are goal oriented, coaching is more solutions focused and tends to support individuals with working toward a specific outcome—in this case, helping you find more clarity and confidence around your next career steps.
Coaching is also typically shorter term than therapy.
Does this program offer support with resume writing and job applications?
No, while there is a focus on creating a new professional identity and narrative that can inform your resume and other job application materials, this program does not offer specific support with the job application process or with resume writing. Resources and referrals can be provided, however.
This program, instead, concentrates on helping you identify bigger picture elements of a career transition, such as finding alignment between work and your values, strengths, and goals as well as identifying and overcoming any challenges that might be getting in the way of finding more fulfilling work.
Is the program online or in person?
This is a virtual-only program.
